Legacy Guardian: Support our project participants in researching, sharing and writing about their personal connections to WW1.

Location: Donington le Heath Manor House, Coalville

Description: Code Club is a nationwide network of free volunteer-led coding clubs for children aged 9-11 that aim to inspire the next generation to get excited about computer science and digital making.
We are looking for volunteers to support these Code Clubs for one hour a week, over an 8 week period and deliver a project a week.  The projects teach children how to program by showing them how to have fun making computer games, animations and websites.

Description: Activities may range from helping to explain paragraph use, or where a learner might put an apostrophe, to making the tea or lending a sympathetic ear to a personal problem. The volunteer will be required to sit on a one to one basis with a specific learner and for this reason, will need to have a British Sign Language qualification at level 1.

Description: We are looking for young volunteers aged 13-17 to help us uncover the truth behind historical crimes in Melton. This is an exciting project and as a volunteer you will be involved in:

• Researching famous crimes such as the Great Stilton Cheese Robbery, Peppermint Billy and Painting the Town Red 
• Discovering museum objects and learning how to 3D scan them
• Designing and creating a community display that will feature in the museum. This could involve the use of newspaper clippings, photographs, objects, text and images.
• Sharing your research on social media
